I am a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work within their Ethical Framework of Good Practice I receive regular supervision, am fully insured and undertake regular continuing professional development to maintain the best service for those with whom I work. There are many therapeutic models and approaches to counselling. Each of us are unique in the way we see things, I work to find the best way of facilitating this for each individual whatever issues you may be struggling with.
My work is Person Centred and Integrative
Person Centred Counselling: As a person centred therapist I will accept and value you for who you are, never judge or give advice I will help you explore issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviours and how you view the world to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and consider the choices you have.
Although it may sound difficult, with support you may be surprised to realise the answers lie within you, they just need uncovering. The decisions on how to proceed will always be yours
This means I draw on different models of counselling taking into account individual situations to ensure the sessions are tailor made to your needs.
I focus holistically, taking into consideration what is going on mentally, physically and emotionally for you.
I assist you in developing more understanding around the things that concern you, checking in and always wanting what is best for you.
You can bring any issues that concern you, my role is to listen, then consider together strategies that will support your way forward
